From death threat at a wedding to mistaken identity, fans hear it all
The Great Indian Kapil Show 3's Independence Day special featured a union of music industry stars. Celebrated singers Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shaan, and Neeti Mohan joined host Kapil Sharma on stage. They told heartfelt stories, sang some of their chart-topping hits, and enjoyed Kapil's light-hearted banter.
The show turned into a night full of laughter following a memorable opening in which the stars sang patriotic songs. Vishal Dadlani’s recollection of receiving a death threat at a wedding in Ludhiana was one revelation that both shocked and amused fans.
Dadlani shared, “The bride’s father was high on alcohol, and so were many others. Suddenly, he told me, ‘I am going to kill you.’ Later, the same man came on stage and said, ‘You and me, we will kill everybody.’”
The singer of Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh recalled how a fan once wrote a lengthy poem in which he poured his heart out, but in the end, mistook him for Sonu Nigam.
Shaan stated, “I remember someone who once recited a really long poem. And at the end, he said, ‘I’m your biggest fan, and you’re unmatched, Sonu Nigam!’”
