The names of his widow, Priya Sachdev, and his ex-wife, actor Karisma Kapoor, are also being entangled in the escalating bitter feud over the late businessman Sunjay Kapur's ₹30,000 crore estate.

Mandhira Kapur, his sister, has now come forward to denounce the cruel treatment of her 80-year-old mother and to call the whole situation a nightmare.

Following Sunjay Kapur's death in London, which his mother, Rani Kapur, refers to as "mysterious," the family's conflict grew more intense.

She has requested an investigation by filing a criminal complaint with UK authorities. Rani claimed financial constraints and was forced to sign documents. She also questioned how the business handled its heritage.

Sona Comstar rejected her claims, claiming that she has not been involved with the company since 2019 and that she has been served with a legal notice due to "false" accusations.

Now, in an interview with NDTV, Mandhira said, “I think it's a little harsh on my mom to send her this letter saying she has nothing to do with the company she built. She's 80. How about just respecting the fact that her husband and she made this?.. This the legacy that my father built. Today, we're being told we are not allowed to have this legacy”.
