Salman Khan’s film *Sikandar*, one of the most anticipated releases of the year, hit theaters last Eid al-Fitr.

Despite his star power and the buzz around the film, it failed  to perform at the box office, collecting only Rs. 175 crores in its full run, raising questions about his choice of doing this project.

The film was directed by AR Murugadoss, who has now shared his experience of working with the Wanted   actor, leaving fans shocked.

In an interview with Valaipechu Voice, the filmmaker revealed that working with Salman was not an easy task due to his distinct working style.

Stating the difficulties faced during the shoots, he said, “We had to shoot at night because he turned up on set only by 8 PM. We  used to shooting right from early mornings, but that’s not how things worked there.”

He further recalled how other actors were also affected by this and said, “If there were four kids in a scene, we had to shoot with them at 2 AM, even if it was a shot of them returning from school! They had become tired by that time and usually dozed off.”

After making Akira in 2014 , Murugadoss returned to Bollywood with Sikandar, but this recent project also met the same fate as the previous one.

Reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 200 crores, the film’s earnings failed to even cover its costs.
