The '3 Idiots' actor Achyut Potdar went to eternal rest on Monday, August 18
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan paid homage to his blockbuster hit film 3 Idiot’s co-actor Achyut Potdar, who passed away at the age of 91.
On Monday, August 18, Achyut breathed his last at his Thane home in Mumbai after battling with multiple health problems.
Through their official Instagram account, Aamir Khan Productions, his production banner, issued a warm note, that reads, "I am very saddened to hear about Achyut ji passing away. "
The tribute further added, "He was an amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and a great colleague. We will miss you Achyut ji. My heartfelt condolences to him family."
Achyut left a lasting impression on the Indian entertainment industry due to his calm and versatile on-screen presence.
In the movie 3 Idiots, he portrayed the character of serious yet kind professor with Khan and other star's R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi. His famous line, “Kehna kya chahte ho,” is still remembered and shared in memes.
Notably, Achyut began his acting at the age of 44, after giving service in the Indian Army, a job at Indian Oil, and teaching at a college in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.
