Film Producer Boney Kapoor opened up about missing the original No Entry cast in the much-awaited sequel.
Six years ago, the 69-year-old filmmaker announced a sequel to the 2005 hit film No Entry, and he recently confirmed that Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor will replace the original leading actors Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan.
In conversation with Instant Bollywood, the Indian movie producer revealed that he wished he could have retained the original cast of the highly anticipated franchise.
According to the publisher, talking about the reason behind changing main actors, he stated, “Yeh humara loss hai that we could not retain the same star cast. We waited for almost 8–10 years but somehow things didn’t happen. We will miss them."
Furthermore, he said, "And now we are trying to give a fresh start with a younger lot of actors. But at the same time, we will miss Salman, we will miss Anil and Fardeen. They were the original three boys in No Entry. And they were most loved.”
For the unversed, the film No Entry (2005) comedy blockbuster was directed by Anees Bazmee. The story of three men involved in lies, affairs, and funny mix-ups, along with hit songs and great comic timing, made it a box-office success.
Notably, the second part of No Entry, directed by Anees Bazmee, will feature Varun and Arjun as main cast. Reports suggest that Tamannaah Bhatia might join as the female lead, but it’s not confirmed yet.
