Yuzvendra Chahal's cryptic post sparks buzz
Netizens wondered if it was a response to Dhanashree’s interview
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal shared a cryptic post after ex-wife Dhanashree Verma publicly spoke about their divorce for the first time.
In a recent interview, the 28-year-old recalled the emotional trauma of their separation and reacted to Yuzvendra’s “Be your own sugar daddy” T-shirt stunt during their divorce hearing.
Soon after Dhanashree’s interview went viral, the 35-year-old leg-spinner took to Instagram and shared a mysterious post that appeared to be a response to the controversy sparked by her comments.
He posted a carousel of himself posing against the backdrop of mountains at Kirkstone Pass in England.
However, it was his caption that garnered the most attention, “Million feelings, Zero words.”
The cryptic line made many netizens wonder if it was his way of responding to Dhanashree.
One social media user commented, “Bhai WhatsApp par bolna tha na (You should have said it on WhatsApp),” while another wrote, “Be your own sugar daddy.”
A third user said, “Dhanashree ka podcast dekhkar aaya hai (He has come after watching Dhanashree’s podcast),” while many joked about his T-shirt with the “sugar daddy” quote.
In a podcast with Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree revealed that even though she was mentally well-prepared, she broke down at the moment of the verdict.
On the T-shirt saga, she said, “You know that people are going to blame you. Before I had even known that this T-shirt stunt had happened, we were all aware that people were going to blame me for this.”
The sportsman and the model first connected during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the cricketer reached out to her for dance classes.
The duo tied the knot in December 2020 but separated after two years, with their divorce finalized in March 2025.
