Popular Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla, who rose to fame after starring in 1999 movie Mahaul Theek Hai, died at the age of 65.

Based on latest reports, the actor went through a stroke on Wednesday and was immediately admitted to Mohali’s Fortis Hospital.

According to BBC, the actor’s friend Bal Mukand Sharma revealed that his condition worsened in the hospital, and he breathed his last at 4 am Friday, August 22, 2025.

Furthermore, the outlet stated that the departed soul will be laid to rest at the Balongi cremation ground in Mohali on August 23 at 12 pm.

The reknowned actor had worked almost for thirty-year-long in the entertainment industry, recognized for his humorous roles in Punjabi movies.

The  Indian  comedian  began his acting  journey  after appearing in the movie Dulha Bhatti and later in Jaspal Bhatti's Hindi comedic themed film Mahaul Theek Hai.

He then featured in hits like Jatt & Juliet, Sardaar Ji, and Carry On Jatta in which her displayed role of Advocate Dhillon, which gained audience appreciation and love due to his comic timing and signature lines.

Notably,  Bhalla was last seen  in the movie Shinda Shinda No Papa, in which he portrayed the character of police inspector,  alongside Gippy Grewal and Hina Khan as a main lead of the film.
