Bhumi Pednekar shares what really keeps her going every day
The actress opened up about workouts, food, and self-acceptance
Bhumi Pednekar has made a name for herself in a field that is frequently characterised by rigid beauty standards.
The actress has been candid about how her relationship with fitness, body image, and self-acceptance has changed over time.
Her weight loss journey has focused on creating a healthy and sustainable lifestyle rather than drastic measures or quick fixes.
Bhumi's transformation started when she put on over 30 kg for the role in her first movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Audiences overwhelmingly supported the actress rather than criticising her.
“It was a moment of validation that helped shape my journey going forward,” she shared. Later, Bhumi lost 35 kg not by starving herself or following crash diets, but by focusing on consistency and balance.
The actress has frequently discussed how her exercise routine is doable and simple to adhere to.
In an interview with Vogue, Bhumi revealed that her breakfast usually includes nuts and fruits. “It gives me a boost of nutrition and energy,” she said. After that, she heads for a run, something that not only helps her metabolism but also gives her what she calls a “runner’s high.”
She works out for approximately an hour each day. Pilates, running, strength training, and weightlifting are all incorporated into her sessions. She also walks between 7,000 and 8,000 steps most days. "Fitness has now become a steady part of my life," she said, adding that she likes to mix up her workouts to keep things fresh.
