Director Shashank Khaitan reveals painful health battle amid filming 'SSKTK'
Shashank Khaitan talks about being diagnosed by severe disorder just before heading to Udaipur
Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, who recently wrapped up the Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, opened up about the health struggles he battled during shooting of his upcoming movie.
On Saturday, August 23, the 43-year-old director via his official Instagram account uploaded a series of snapshots, which showcased the behind the scenes pictures from the set of upcoming box-office hit.
On the same day, he also disclosed about his painful journey on his social media account, in which he detailed his online supporters about the health challenges he encountered during the production of the SSKTK.
He captioned the post, saying, “21st August 2025 – Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari – Film Wrap… 21 August 2024 – Exactly one year back, already suffering from severe Sciatica pain, I was diagnosed with Chikungunya. My body was so inflamed that I broke into rashes, turning my face and body black. I was in pain that I cannot describe or put into words…”
Moreover, he recalled that on the first day of the shoot, it took him more than 45 minutes just to stand. Though he considered canceling the filming schedule countless times, but instead he pushed working ahead.
Additionally, he mentioned that the severe illness caused his body to inflame, break out in rashes, and turn black in some areas.
Furthermore, he praised his entire team and family for their love and support throughout his challenging phase.
Notably, after facing multiple delays, the upcoming charttoper film is scheduled for its big-screen debut on October 2, 2025.
Interestingly, the movie will feature Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor following their appearances in Nitesh Tiwari’s 2023's Bawaal.
