Kartik Aaryan is geared up to star in Vishnuvardhan’s upcoming zombie action thriller, stepping into a new genre in his career.

Based on the latest findings, the 34-year-old actor, who had recently wrapped up filming of his upcoming movie Tu Meri Main Tera, and is working on Anurag Basu’s romantic project that is yet to be named, is expected to conclude its shooting in November 2025.

As per a recent Pinkvilla report published on Tuesday, August 26, the Shehzada  star had previously been searching for opportunities to showcase his extravagant action skills in the zombie-horror category.

A trusted insider revealed, “The filmmaker has developed a unique Zombie film, and Kartik loved the world created by Vishnuvardhan.”

Furthermore, the source shared that the IIFA  award winner had accepted the offer for the film, which is slated to begin in July 2026, but the official documents hadn’t been completed yet.

Another tipster stated, “July 2026 was far away, but at that moment, the Vishnuvardhan film was slotted tentatively in Kartik’s calendar....Kartik loved to spend time on the film set and was working closely with his team to have a formidable line-up in place."

This new film will be a zombie thriller, mixing suspense with horror. Besides this, the Chandu Champion actor is reading other scripts and meeting filmmakers for future projects.

After concluding Anurag Basu’s movie, he will begin working on Nagzilla and Captain India.

Notably, Zombie films are becoming popular in Bollywood. 

Ranveer Singh is also reportedly planning a zombie movie with director Jai Mehta, which is scheduled for late 2026 after Don 3.
