Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s starrer Param Sundari is slated to release on August 29, and fans are eager to watch this romantic drama, which marks the duo’s first collaboration.

The story revolves around the love story of a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl, showcasing the clash of their diverse backgrounds, cultures, and customs.

The trailer and songs have received a good response from audiences, and now the censor board has also given the green signal for its release.

According to media reports, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) hasn’t asked for any visual cuts; however, it did demand a few dialogue changes.

The CBFC asked the makers to replace the word “bastard” with “idiot” in the subtitles. 

Additionally, words like “church” and “bloody” were asked to be muted and removed from the subtitles. 

Moreover, the word “father” was also asked to be muted.

After these changes, Param Sundari received a U/A 13+ certificate. 

Notably, the film has a total runtime of 136 minutes (2 hours and 16 minutes).

Originally scheduled to release on July 25, 2025, the film was postponed to avoid a clash with Son of Sardaar 2.

This movie  is important for both Sidharth and Janhvi, , as their last theatrical releases have failed to make any significant impact at the box office.
