Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, who last year attended Taylor Swift's   record-breaking The Era's Tour   reposted  her favourite  Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announcement post.

 Last night, the pop icon  and her fiancé  Kelce made their engagement official on their social media accounts.

On Tuesday, August 26, the 35-year-old pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared a heartfelt collection of images of the proposal. 

Kelce proposed in a beautiful garden, holding a huge diamond ring. 

The pair captioned the joint Instagram post with text, that reads, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” This marks the next chapter in their romantic relationship following two years of dating.

The announcement went viral immediately. According to the reports of Meta, the social media update received over fourteen million likes in just after an hour and 452,000 reposts. 

The post caught the attention of industry peers who reacted to the post including Lorde, Ice Spice, Gracie Abrams, Jack Antonoff, and Sabrina Carpenter.

Meanwhile,  Swifties also joined the celebration online even though the comments were turned off on the post.

Additionally, the former President Donald Trump also greeted the new couple, saying, “I think he’s a great player, I think he’s a great guy, and she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.”

Interestingly, according to BBC,  the two  lovers got engaged two weeks ago.

Notably, Sonam is currently working as the South Asia brand ambassador for Christian Dior and is all set to return to the industry following her maternity break after giving birth to her son, Vayu  in 2022, whom she shares with husband Anand Ahuja.
