Actress Shamita Shetty, who rose to fame after debut film Mohabbatein (2000), candidly talked about her television show Big Boss OTT experience.

In a recent chat, the 46-year-old, participant of season one of the hindi reality series, which was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, revealed that the stint drained her mental health.

On Wednesday, August 28, in an exclusive conversation with host Gayatri Nirmal on Pinkvilla’s podcast, the Zeher actress shared that after leaving the show, she took professional help for a year.

"I couldn't understand what the hell was going on around me or how to react in the correct manner," she said.

She continued, “My reality and fiction were kind of getting merged, intertwined with each other causing a lot of confusion in my head. "

Furthermore, she confessed, by noting, "I didn't know how to be. Even when I came out of that house, I felt like I was constantly sitting with my armor, waiting to defend myself.”

Notably, the Sharara song famed actress most recently starred in Sushrut Jain’s 2021 film The Tenant, alongside Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Harsh Mayar, Gracy Goswami, Dayanand Shetty, Sheeba Chaddha and   Bikramjeet Kanwarpal.
