South Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda’s film Kingdom has made its way to an online streaming platform, but it proved to be a disappointment for fans.

The action-drama, starring the 36-year-old actor and Bhagyashree Borse, failed to live up to the hype at the box office, despite the strong buzz that followed its poster release.

When the film hit theatres, the viral romantic song Hridayam Lopala was missing, leaving many fans wondering why the makers had cut it.

As a result, fans pinned their hopes on the OTT release, expecting it to feature an extended version.

But viewers once again felt let down, as instead of an extended version, an edited cut of the film was released on Netflix.

Expressing his frustration a fan wrote on social media, “We want uncut Version #Kingdom and deleted scenes!!”

Another commented, "Kingdom Netflix response is all positive. But the team again missed the chance by not giving an extended version. Vijay Devarakonda, we as fans only wish you would choose better projects & producers ahead. Your talent is rare; it deserves justice every single time.”

Few days ago at a press conference, the film producer revealed the reason behind dropping the song, he said, "I know a lot of people felt bad, especially lovers, probably because they wanted to see Vijay Deverakonda kiss, and they missed it. We tried a lot, but we couldn’t fit it into the intensity of the film overall.”

Directed and written by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, the Kingdom was released on July 31, 2025 and grossed over Rs. 82 crores worldwide.
