Bollywood star Shamita Shetty has finally opened up about her break-up with former boyfriend Raqesh Bapat.

In a candid interview, the 46-year-old actress revealed that, if she had met him outside the house, she would never have dated him.

On Wednesday, 27 August, the Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai actress appeared on Pinkvilla's latest podcast episode, during which she confessed, “It is an erased chapter of my life.”

“When you’re locked inside a house for so long, it’s natural to form close relationships for support during vulnerable moments. But outside the house, we are completely different people,” she said.

She continued, “Over time, you learn what works for you and what doesn’t. I don’t want to compromise my peace.”

Furthermore, she admitted that she sometimes felt lonely, but she is trying to make herself comfortable and happy on her own.

When the interviewer asked about her future dating plans, she disclosed that she doesn’t want to date anyone until she finds someone who genuinely respects her.

Notably, the estranged pair first met during the television show Bigg Boss OTT in 2021.

Interestingly, after a year of courtship, the ex-couple decided to end their relationship in July 2022.
