Indian rapper and pop sensation Yo Yo Honey Singh, known as much for his chart-topping hits as for his controversies, is once again making headlines at the age of 42.

Reports indicate that Honey Singh withdrew from an award ceremony after a disagreement with the organisers over security arrangements.

According to insiders, the award ceremony was held in Mohali on August 23 and saw appearances from celebrities such as Neeru Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez, Soundarya Sharma, and Bismil.

Notably, Honey Singh was also scheduled to perform and had even arrived at the venue, but his performance was cancelled at the last moment.

The disagreement arose because the personal security team of the Sunny Sunny singer was not allowed entry. 

The organisers assured him that "adequate security measures" had been put in place with the help of the Punjab Police.

A source close to the matter said, “As per protocol, no external personnel were allowed on the ground for anyone. However, Honey Singh was insistent on having his own security unit as a precaution. 

While the organisers understood and respected his request, given the overall security plans, they could not agree. After a lengthy discussion with the organisers, the musician left the venue, refusing to perform.”

The whole scenario led to a financial dispute between the Brown Rang singer’s team and the event managers, who are now in talks to resolve the matter amicably.
