Salman Khan, Sooraj Barjatya eye new project after film setback
Filmmaker hints at fresh story for superstar, calls it a challenge
Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have been colleagues for a long time.
The seasoned filmmaker discussed the difficulties of directing for the superstar at his age, even with the fact that the two have collaborated on several successful films, including Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath Saath Hai, and Hum Apke Hain Koun.
The chairman of Rajshree Productions told PTI that he is excited to work with Khan to produce new and positive content for the audience.
Sikandar was the most recent of Salman several failed films in recent years. But with the opportunities that lie ahead, the actor is looking forward to a more promising career.
Salman and Barjatya had been collaborating on an action movie, according to earlier media reports. But the team's efforts were unsuccessful, and the film was delay.
Speaking to the media portal, the filmmaker revealed, "There are some subjects that you are not able to take forward; you are unable to crack the climax or get the character, so till all of this does not come together, it doesn't make sense to make a film.”
Barjatya further said, "I've barely made seven films, but this is what I've decided to do, and till the time I don't feel convinced, I won't make it. So, I'm so happy that Salman Bhai is with me, and today to make something relevant and fresh for him at his age is a bigger challenge.”
