Actress Priya Marathe featured in several hit TV dramas, such as 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya', 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain'

TV actress Priya Marathe, who gained recognition for her roles in Kasamh Se and Pavitra Rishta, passed away today.

Based on the latest findings, the deceased actress breathed her last at the age of 38 after suffering from cancer.

According to a report by Maharashtra Times, she died on Sunday morning at her residence in Mira Road at 4 a.m, published on August 31.

Notably, she was survived by her husband, actor Shantanu Moghe.

Priya had been fighting cancer for over two years. She made her television debut with the Marathi show Ya Sukhano Ya and went on to appear in several other Marathi serials, including Char Divas Sasuche and Tu Tithe Me.

Her first Hindi TV appearance was in Kasamh Se, where she played Vidya Bali. She also featured in Comedy Circus and played Ankita Lokhande’s character Archana’s sister in the hit show Pavitra Rishta.

The late actress was also seen prtraying character of Jyoti Malhotra in drama Bade Achhe Lagte Hain .

It's pertinent to mention, the star, who died today also appeared in several shows such as Uttaran, Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap, Savdhaan India, and Aata Hou De Dhingana.
