Prabhas's 'The Raja Saab' gets new release date

South Indian superstar Prabhas’s most anticipated film The Raja Saab has been postponed, with a new release date now finalized.
Directed by Maruthi, this project has been in the making for the last two years and was initially slated to hit the theaters on December 5, 2025.
The shooting of this horror comedy faced multiple delays due to various reasons, which pushed the release further. Now, the latest reports suggest that the grand multi-starrer will be wrapped up by the end of October 2025.
The latest hurdle that came in the way of this project was the union workers’ strike, which finally ended a few days ago. The makers are now expected to shoot the remaining important sequences and three songs smoothly over the next two months.
Consequently, a new release date has been locked, which is January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festival weekend.
Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt plays a key role in this film and has reportedly been paid heavily to play the character of the Baahubali actor's grandfather.
On the other hand, the 45-year-old actor has been doing back-to-back action dramas, and with The Raja Saab, he returns to the comedy genre after a long gap.
The teaser, released on his birthday, won the hearts of many. Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal are playing the female leads in the movie.
