Akshay Oberoi reveals why upcoming film 'SSKTK' holds special value for him
Akshay Oberoi shared his excitement about teaming up with Dharma Productions and leading Bollywood director Shashank Khaitan.
During a candid chat, the 40-year-old American actor recalled how his dream of working with the filmmaker Shashank finally came true.
In a recent interview, the Hum Tum and Them star stated, "in 2014 I saw the trailer of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania for the first time. I loved its scale, freshness, and the way Shashank Khaitan made it. I quietly wished I could work with him one day. It felt far away, but I kept hoping.”
He gushingly continued, “Now, after ten years, that dream is coming true with Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari."
Furthermore, while talking about his experience, he remarked, "Working with Shashank and being part of a Dharma film with such talented actors feels amazing. It reminds me that sometimes even our quietest wishes come true at the right time.”
Notably, the forthcoming rom-com Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is slated for it’s big-screen debut on October 2, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.
Following Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), this will be Varun's third movie with Shashank.
However, the film premiere will coincide with Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 and Harshvardhan Rane’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
The recently released teaser of SSKTK has created waves among netizens, who are happy to see Varun back in a comedy film.
