Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s iconic restaurant, Bastian Bandra, is ceasing operations, marking the end of an era for Mumbai’s nightlife.

This news comes shortly after a lawsuit was filed against her and husband Raj Kundra.

On Wednesday, September 3, the 50-year-old actress took to her official Instagram account to announce that her restaurant Bastian Bandra outlet is shutting down.

In the post, she penned a long-note, which reads, “This Thursday marks the end of an era as we bid farewell to one of Mumbai's most iconic destinations — BASTIAN BANDRA."

"A venue that gave us countless memories, unforgettable nights, and moments that shaped the city's nightlife now takes its final bow," she went on to add.

Furthermore, the statement added, “The hospitality business is something I had to transition into because I’m a Shetty, of course. "

Moreover, she noted that she, Raj , and Ranjit Bindra are strong partners because they share a similar mindset and now she didn't want to be involved in business's daily operations. 

Additionally, she said that it is incredible how much people love Bastian, “Just to be able to cater to three generations and create that whole vibe of celebration is such a compliment for us as owners." 

Notably, the Bandra location of Bastian is scheduled to close, but Bastian At The Top in Dadar West outlet will continue to operate.
