Ahan Shetty takes a dark turn
Actor's dramatic shift to horror genre sparks curiosity
A lavish romantic drama Tadap, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, was Ahan's first feature and left a lasting impression at the box office.
He will next be seen in the highly anticipated Republic Day 2026 movie Border 2, which also stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan. One of the largest theatrical productions of the upcoming year is expected to be the patriotic drama.
This new movie, which marks a dramatic departure from his current repertoire, stars Ahan in a mass entertainment production that combines horror with a compelling love tale and is based on an engrossing thriller plot.
In addition to being the first horror movie in India based on a true historical tragedy, it also represents a daring change in tone for the actor.
The highly anticipated title will soon be revealed. The makers are supporting the massive theatrical horror experience that Hindi cinema has long desired, even though the plot and director details are still unknown. It is also anticipated that the female lead will be announced shortly.
The movie is produced by Khyati Madaan under her banner Not Out Entertainment and by Prashant Gunjalkar.
With a clear goal to bring back theatrical Hindi cinema through genre-defining storytelling, Madaan, who has ten years of experience working with studios like Red Chillies Entertainment, Disney India, and Maddock Films, founded Not Out Entertainment earlier this year.
She already has a romantic horror comedy called Abhootpurva and a slice-of-life drama called Ishaqzaade (2012) and Do Dooni Chaar (2010), both of which were directed by renowned director Habib Faisal, who won a National Award. Pals & Peers' founder, Gunjalkar, has decades of expertise in event-led entertainment, brand partnerships, and talent management.
