Legendary actress Bhagyashree, who gained recognition from her 1998 box-office hit movie Maine Pyar Kiya, shared rare details about her bond with Salman Khan.

During  a candid discussion, the 56-year-old star revealed that Salman stood by her at a time when her family didn't support her.

In an interview with Beauty By BiE, the Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi actress stated, “When I decided to get married, there was no one from my side, and Salman was there throughout and was the last person to leave." 

"That was very sweet, I did not expect that of him. I would say he was a very naughty boy, but he was very lovable,” she  continued.

Bhagyashree also remembered how protective Salman had been during their MPK days, she said, “Salman always had my back. He was very protective. The kind of stardom he has seen is rare, and I doubt any younger stars today will experience that kind of euphoria, similar to what Rajesh Khanna had.”

Furthermore, she disclosed when she wanted to marry Himalaya Dasani, her parents didn't supported her decision. 

The couple decided to tie the knot secretly. Salman stayed with her and supported her during this time. 

Later, she stopped acting to take care of her family. The pair have two children, Abhimanyu and Avantika, who are now working in movies.

Notably, Bhagyashree is geared up for comeback in industry by Raja Shivaji, directed by Riteish Deshmukh, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Genelia Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Fardeen Khan.

The film will hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
