Quratulain Balouch attacked while camping at Deosai National Park
Pakistani singer-songwriter Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch was attacked by a brown bear while camping at the Deosai National Park and sustained injuries.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on the night of September 4.
The 37-year-old vocalist was immediately taken to a hospital and discharged after being given first aid.
According to hospital staff, both of Balouch’s arms were wounded in the attack, but her condition was stable and out of danger.
A spokesperson for the Gilgit-Baltistan government stated that the Hamsafar singer was attacked at Barra Pani in Deosai Park, where she was rescued and provided with medical assistance.
He further declared that, following the incident, night camping has been banned in Deosai for safety reasons, and tourists will no longer be allowed to camp there overnight.
The Pakistani-American singer rose to fame with her title track Woh Humsafar Tha in the TV serial Humsafar.
She has many popular songs to her credit, including Sammi Meri Waar, Laung Gawacha, Thagyan, and a cover of Reshma’s famous track Ankhian Nu Ren De.
Recently, she had shared a post about exploring the beauty of Gilgit Baltistan, and her stay at a resort.
