Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra recently rooted for the Lokah: Chapter 1, calling it India’s first female superhero story.
Taking to her Instagram stories, she uploaded the film’s poster and extended her best wishes to producer Dulquer Salmaan and his team, while revealing that she has added the movie to her watchlist.
The Malayalam hit, currently out in Hindi too, continues to impress viewers.
Notably, in the Chapter 1, the director Priyadarshan's daughter Kalyani Priyadarshan portrayed the character of Chandra, a young woman making her way back to Bengaluru after two decades abroad in Sweden.
Her mysterious outings at night grab the attention of two neighbourhood boys, Sunny (Naslen) and Venu (Chandu Salimkumar), who begin to uncover her hidden past.
The story unfolds as they piece together her extraordinary secret, setting up India’s first female superhero narrative.
Given the roaring success of Lokah: Chapter 1, producer Dulquer Salmaan has already started working on the following part .
For the unfamiliar, Priyanka is currently busy shooting for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming hit film SSMB 29, which also features Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Although the plot has been kept secret, but reports suggest it will be an action packed adventure influenced by Indiana Jones.
