Popular comedian Kiku Sharda has officially addressed recent rumours about his alleged exit from The Great Indian Kapil Show. 

This comes shortly after the speculation of a fallout with co-star Krushna Abhishek. 

On Friday, the 49-year-old Indian star uploaded a monochrome snapshot with Krushna.

In the picture, the duo is seen posing with fingers on their lips in a symbolic gesture to silence gossip. 

The image featured the text, "A never-ending story," while Kiku captioned it: "Yeh bandhan… kabhi nahi tootega! The 'fight' was a prank only." 

In his post, he also reassured fans that he remains an integral part of Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, "Don’t fall for all this gossip and rumours that I’ve left The Great Indian Kapil Show. I’ll always be part of the show and this parivaar. So forget all that and go watch the show on Netflix. Only 3 episodes left!" 

The friendship between the two comedians was warmly received by fans after his post. 

One fan commented, "You two are the best," while another wrote, "Without you, the show wouldn’t be fun!" 

A third added, "Can’t imagine the show without Sunil, Kiku, and Krushna. Stay together!" 

An insider close to the show also confirmed there was no actual fight, saying, “There was no sudden exit and definitely no tension within the team. Kiku’s involvement in Rise & Fall began only after he wrapped up work on Kapil’s show, which may have caused some confusion among fans.” 

Notably, Kiku is now set to appear in the reality competition show Rise and Fall, streaming on Amazon MX Player. 

The show features 15 contestants, including Arjun Bijlani, Kubbra Sait, Dhanashree Verma, Aditya Narayan, and Aarush Bhola, and is hosted by Ashneer Grover of Shark Tank India .
