On the first day of the South Indian International Movie Awards 2025 (SIIMA) in Dubai on Friday, the Telugu films Kalki 2898 AD and Pushpa 2: The Rule took home major prizes.

The event recognised acting, music, and technical talents in the Telugu and Kannada film industries.

Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun took home the top acting awards. Gowri (Kannada) and Kalki 2898 AD by Nag Ashwin are two other films that took home awards in multiple categories.

On Saturday, the Malayalam and Tamil winners of the SIIMA Awards 2025 will be revealed. With ten nominations, The Goat Life (Aadujeevitham) is in the lead. Aavesham has received eight nominations, while ARM has received nine.
