Lokah: Chapter 1, Chandra, directed by Dominic Arun, opened in theatres on August 28 and has done well at the box office.
With Sandy, Naslen, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the main parts, the movie got positive reviews and easily surpassed the ₹100 crore milestone in less than a week.
This was stated by actor and film producer Dulquer Salmaan in a recent statement regarding the movie's earnings.
Dulquer was questioned about his plans for the movie's earnings as he celebrated Lokah's triumph in Hyderabad.
He said that to make more instalments, he would put them back into the franchise. He later told reporters in Chennai that he first wants to give the movie's crew a cut of the earnings because they deserve it.
He said, “I am going to share all the profits of Lokah Part 1 and even other parts with the team because they truly deserve it.” He mentioned that Lokah was initially planned as a five-part film series, and while he’s unsure if the story will expand further yet, he thinks there are endless possibilities to be explored. Dulquer also mentioned how no one on the team anticipated Lokah getting the kind of love it is getting now.
