Hrithik Roshan’s superhero action-thriller franchise Krrish has a special place in the hearts of Bollywood film buffs.

From Koi Mil Gaya (2003) to Krrish 3 (2013), each instalment has not only entertained but also shaped the 51-years-old’s image as Bollywood’s first true superhero.

Consequently, fans have been eagerly waiting for the fourth chapter, and now there’s finally some good news for them.

The maker of this most loved franchise, Rakesh Roshan, exclusively spoke to a media outlet on the occasion of his 76th birthday, and disclosed that the script for the much-awaited film is ready.

He described the finalisation of the budget as the main challenge of the project, saying, “Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we’ll be starting the film.”

The Kaabil producer revealed that pre-production is already in full swing and that the team aims to start filming by the mid of next year. While the shooting is expected to continue until late 2026, its release is being planned for 2027.

Notably, this year has been particularly special for the Roshan family.

The Netflix documentary The Roshans brought hidden aspects of their lives into the spotlight, followed by the re-release of Hrithik’s blockbuster debut Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, marking his 25 years in cinema.

The celebrations grew bigger when news surfaced that the Fighter star himself would take a seat behind the camera to direct the film.

Meanwhile, Krrish 4 will also mark the first-ever collaboration between Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft Productions and Yash Raj Films, raising expectations of moviegoers to new heights.
