Bollywood icon Aamir Khan candidly revealed rare details about the initial challenges when he was stepping to become producer.
The veteran actor shared in a recent discussion that his early life experiences shaped his reluctance.
In a conversation with Komal Nahta on the Game Changers Podcast: The Producer Series, he said that watching his father’s career showed him how much effort, financial risk, and criticism in producing in movies involved.
Furthermore, he confessed that he had received many offers but had firmly refused.
Moreover, he mentioned that he had told interviewers he would never produce any movie, will only act or direct, and requested that to avoid making such rigid claims that he want to pursue career as a producer.
It is pertinent to note, he made his debut as a producer with movie Lagaan and subsequently produced successful movies such as Taare Zameen Par, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Peepli (Live), Dhobi Ghat, Delhi Belly, Dangal, and Laal Singh Chaddha.
Most recently, he last featured in Sitaare Zameen Par, which was the Hindi remake of the celebrated Spanish film Campeones.
The cast of SZA includes Genelia D'Souza, Naman Misra, Dolly Ahaluwalia, Nikhat Khan in notable roles. The film turned out to be box-office hit and grossed over ₹266 crore worldwide.
