Salman Khan is stepping into the role of a soldier for his next film, Battle of Galwan, and has already given fans a glimpse of what’s to come.

On Tuesday, the 59-year-old actor shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, where he can be seen peeking through a clapperboard during an early take.

The caption of the post was short, “#BattleOfGalwan” but it was enough to send fans into a frenzy.

In the picture, the Kick actor is dressed in full military gear, sporting a rugged moustache and an intense look, with blood trickling down his forehead. The fierce appearance has already set the tone for his role.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is based on the Galwan Valley clash of June 2020, when Indian and Chinese soldiers faced off in eastern Ladakh.

The violent standoff took place during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite both sides being barred from using firearms.

The project comes at a busy time for Salman, who is also hosting Bigg Boss 19 while shooting for the film.

Earlier this year, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan was seen in Sikandar, which unfortunately failed to live up to expectations at the box office.
