During the 1990s, the Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor said publically that she was constantly being linked romantically to businessman Jeh Wadia and actor Ajay Devgn and accused the two of having affair with her. The actress strongly denied the claims, saying that they have no basis at all.

Ajay was mentioned at length during Karisma’s first interviews and he, apparently, was for her only a work associate. She said that while such rumours may have risen because they worked together and filmed many projects and since they had very good personal relationships, the truth was that they were only very good friends.

Karisma added her share to the controversy affair by saying that Wadia who was at that time living in London, was very angry when he first heard that she was cheating him. It was the anger that was a result of his anger that in a personal level, Karisma was the victim of a great deal of constant false rumours and gossip.

Also, she argued that indeed there was no evidence to show the nature of the relationship she had with Ajay, insisting just as the rest of the world, that she was the subject of a love triangle together with him and someone else.
