When Aamir Khan called himself a ‘Waiter’ compared to Salman & Shah Rukh Khan
During Dangal promotions, Aamir Khan admitted Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan had a bigger superstar aura, even jokingly calling himself a “waiter” in comparison
Aamir Khan has never delay acknowledging his fellow.
Aamir publicly said during Dangal promotions in 2016 that he believes Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are more famous than he is, a statement that continues to spark conversation among fans today.
When asked if Salman was a bigger star, Aamir said he had no doubt. “He’s always been a bigger star than me. There’s nothing new. I always considered Shah Rukh, Salman, and Amitabh Bachchan bigger stars. There are a host of stars whom I consider big, and this includes Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. There are so many stars who are hugely popular. I don’t get into comparisons."
He also described how different it feels when Salman or Shah Rukh walk into a room. “When I see Salman walking into a room, it feels like a star has arrived. When I enter, it looks as if a waiter has entered. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t say that because waiters are great people. I shouldn’t say that, but when Salman enters or Shah Rukh enters, it feels like a star has come… they are bigger stars than me."
Aamir's most recent appearance was as the ompetitor Dahaa in Rajinikanth's Coolie, a cameo that elicited conflicting responses from viewers.
In addition to Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj, the film was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
He will next be seen in Lahore 1947, a drama about the Partition era that he is also producing and which is scheduled for release in June 2025.
