Shah Rukh Khan has joined the list of Indian celebrities who are extending humanitarian assistance to flood-hit communities.

As Punjab battles with one of the worst floods, a number of Indian celebrities and their NGOs have stepped in to provide support to affected families.

So, as the King Khan, through his Meer Foundation is also handing out essential kits to those affected with the collaboration of local NGOs.

These kits comprise medicines, hygiene products, food items, mosquito nets, tarpaulin sheets, folding beds, cotton mattresses, and other necessities.

This support aims to reach almost 1,500 families across Amritsar, Patiala, Fazilka, and Firozpur districts, addressing their urgent needs of health, safety, and shelter.

Earlier, Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation also channelled resources for relief operations.

His organisation provided five boats, three of which are actively being used to rescue stranded people, deliver food supplies, and assist volunteers, while the remaining two were officially handed over at the Ferozepur border.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar had contributed Rs 5 crores towards relief and rehabilitation efforts in Punjab.

Moreover, actor Randeep Hooda is working on the ground himself; he was among the first to extend direct support. He flew to Punjab soon after the floods and personally joined relief operations.

Several other celebrities, including Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Sonu Sood, and Harbhajan Singh, are also actively providing help, with some adopting villages and families to ensure complete rehabilitation.
