The late Sunjay Kapur’s sister, Mandhira Kapur, has finally spoken out in support of Karisma Kapoor as tensions rise within the family following his death.

This confession comes after Mandhira criticised Sunjay’s third wife, Priya Sachdev, and revealed how her mother was forced to sign papers without understanding them.

In a recent interview with NDTV, she called Karisma her “best friend” and said Priya Sachdev had distanced her from the family.

The second generation entrepreneur also praised the 51-year-old actress for the way she has raised her children, Samaira and Kiaan. 

“I feel extremely proud whenever I speak to them and hear about their lives,” she shared.

This is not the first time Mandhira has publicly stated. 

In an earlier conversation with News18, she alleged that her mother was locked in a room by board members of Sona Comstar and pressured her to sign papers without being informed of what they were.

“She was grieving and did not understand what she was signing,” Mandhira recalled, adding that the family is still struggling to learn what documents were signed.

She further accused others of taking advantage of her mother’s vulnerable state.

“For me, seeing how everything has been taken away from my mother is very personal. We were raised to protect her, and it hurts deeply,” Mandhira said.
