Akshay Kumar takes dig at ‘Jolly LLB 3’ director
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's banter left the audience in splits
Akshay Kumar, alongside Arshad Warsi, took a dig at his director, Subhash Kapoor, at the trailer launch of their upcoming film Jolly LLB 3.
The duo, with other key members of the film, shared the stage and playfully offered some insight into the project.
While introducing the director, the Khiladi actor, in his signature witty style, said, “Ye hamain kuch kerne nahi detey thay, lakeer k faqeer, jo ghar se likh ker laye hain wohi bolna parrta tha (This man is very strict about the script. Whatever he brought, we had to follow it. If you decide to go beyond the script, he might even fire you."
Adding to the humour, Arshad recalled his absence from the sequel of the franchise and said, “Maine pehli film mein bola tha, nikal diya tha mujhe (I said this in the first film, and he fired me),” which sparked a storm of laughter.
Akshay went on to call the director a "strict master" before Arshad jokingly asked Kapoor to scold everyone.
Describing the working experience with the cast, the director said, "It was a fun experience working with the trio of Akshay Ji, Arshad Ji, and Saurabh. They would laugh for the entire day on the sets. As a director, I had certain restrictions and they perfectly followed the same,” he added.
Slated to hit the theatres on September 19, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Seema Biswas.
Gajraj Rao plays the antagonist, while Seema Biswas portrays a grieving mother.
