Actress Alia Bhatt has quietly stepped into the latest social media wave, one that blends nostalgia with a touch of AI magic. 

The internet can’t seem to get enough of it, and neither, it seems, can Bollywood stars.

But what it is this trend? It is a growing phenomenon called “hug my younger self,” which is powered by Google Gemini’s tool Nano Banana. 

The concept is simple but the results are striking enough to stop fans during their scroll.

The 32-year-old actress name entered the conversation when a fan page created a heartfelt edit, placing her present day self hugging  her childhood version. The actor’s reaction to the post only added to the moment’s charm.

Taking to the social media platform Instagram, she reshared the edit with a caption, which reads, “Sometimes we just have to reach out and hug our inner eight-year-old. Thank you for this one.”

And to make it even more personal, she added a Taylor Swift track The Way I Loved You, to complement the post.

While the post made waves online, it also arrives at a time when her  calendar is packed with the projects. 

Meanwhile, her next big-screen release promises action, drama, and a whole new chapter in a blockbuster franchise.

The soon-to be released project, Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail, pairs her alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol. 

The female lead film is slated for a Christmas 2025 release, and marks the seventh installment in YRF’s extensive spy universe.

Along with  it, she is also working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the ambitious Love & War, where she will share the screen with husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. 

The film is currently in it's production phase and is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of 2026.
