Legendary actor Robert Redford died in his sleep at his Utah home
Actress Kareena Kapoor paid tribute to Hollywood's iconic actor and director Robert Redford, who passed away at the age of 89.
On Instagram, the 44-year-old star shared a quote of Redford, which reads, “Storytelling is important. Part of human continuity,” alongside a picture of the legendary filmmaker.
In another post, she wrote simply, “In Power Legend,” honouring Redford’s remarkable career and lasting influence on cinema.
According to Cindi Berger from Rogers & Cowan PMK, the late actor, who is celebrated for films like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and All the President’s Men, died peacefully at his home in Utah on Tuesday morning.
For the unversed, the deceased began his acting journey from television shows Perry Mason, Playhouse 90, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and The Twilight Zone.
Along with, he appeared in stage plays like Tall Story and Barefoot in the Park.
It is pertinent to note, he made his film debut in 1962 with War Hunt and rose to fame as the Sundance Kid alongside Paul Newman in 1969.
The late actor family includes his children Shauna, James, and Amy. He had previously lost a son, Scott, shortly after birth, and his mother during his teen years.
