Aryan Khan’s work commitment earns huge praise from cast
Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is stepping into the film industry as a director
Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is stepping into the director’s chair for the first time with Netflix’s The Ba**ds of Bollywood, and has directed some famous names.
Despite being a newcomer to the field, those who worked with him say his approach carried the confidence of someone far more seasoned.
This Netflix show takes a playful but sharp look at the inner workings of the Hindi film industry.
Lakshya, who plays an ambitious young actor named Aasmaan Singh, recalls being struck by Aryan’s preparation. “It never felt like his first project,” he said.
The 29-year-old actor further said, “He had been shaping the script years before we were cast. Even after long shoot days, while the rest of us went home, he’d be editing through the night. For him, this show has been the only focus for nearly five years.”
His co-star Sahher Bambba, who appears as Karishma Talwar, the daughter of a reigning superstar, shared a similar impression.
The 26-year-old actress stated, “He didn’t take a single day off. If he wasn’t on set, he was busy working on the background score or fine-tuning something else. That kind of commitment is rare.”
This web series features Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and Manish Chaudhari in pivotal roles, with cameos from some of biggest names of Indian film indsutry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and others, playing themselves.
A mix of satire, star power, and insider humour, The Ba**ds of Bollywood will stream on Netflix starting September 18.
