Veteran actor Kamal Haasan paid tribute to Tamil actor and comedian Robo Shankar, who passed away at the age of 46.
On Tuesday, September 16, the late star was admitted to GEM Hospital in Chennai in critical condition with a severe gastrointestinal bleed and multiorgan dysfunction.
Despite intensive care, his health declined rapidly and he went to eternal rest on Thursday, September 18 at 9:05 pm.
In an emotional note on X (formerly twitter), the legendary superstar remembered the departed soul as more than just a colleague.
He penned, “Robo Shankar Robo is just a pseudonym. In my dictionary, you are a human. Therefore, my younger brother. So, will you just leave me and go? You left, your job is done. My job remains unfinished. You leave tomorrow for us. Therefore, tomorrow is ours.”
The late star, who was specially known for his sharp comic timing, won hearts in the films like Maari with Dhanush and acted alongside Vijay.
Notably, on the small screen, he also won audience love through shows like the Kings of Comedy Juniors, Kanni Theevu, Sembaruthi and Top Cooku Dupe Cooku 2.
