Radikaa Sarathkumar grieves in memory of late actor Robo Shankar
Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar and the Tamil entertainment industry mourned the sudden demise of actor Robo Shankar, who died yesterday at GEM Hospital in Chennai.
On Monday, the late actor fell ill on the set of his upcoming film and was admitted to a private hospital immediately. According to the test reports, he had major liver and kidney issues.
The cinema fraternity and supporters expressed sadness over the loss of the late comedian.
Among the emotional tributes, the iconic actress Radikaa expressed her grief on X (formerly Twitter), by posting a touching message accompanied with a snapshot of him.
She wrote,“Always keeps everyone happy with his humour and works very hard to keep giving his best. Such a great great loss. My prayers to the family and friends to be strong. RIP.”
Political leaders also paid homage. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin penned, “I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of actor Thiru Robo Shankar. Starting from stage performances, he expanded his journey into television and cinema, entertaining the people of Tamil Nadu."
Furthermore, he added,"I extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his bereaved family members and the film fraternity mourning his loss.”
For the unversed, the deceased soul, who was known for his humour and on-screen charm, is survived by his wife Priyanka, daughter Indraja, and a grandson.
His final rites are set for Friday at his Chennai residence, as admirers and colleagues recall the joy he brought on screen and stage.
