Actor, writer, director, and producer Shamoon Abbasi has made a surprising revelation regarding Hum TV’s horror-comedy drama Jinn Ki Shadi Un Ki Shadi.

Sharing a long post on Instagram, the 52-year-old revealed that the story and title of the drama were originally created by him.

He said, “I wish the creators had the courtesy to mention my name if not now (as the director who created this amazing project to direct it), but as the screenplay writer after working 4 months on the project with a writer dictating every scene and track.

But I guess it's a lesson learned, never give away your hard work to anyone without a plan.”

Abbasi explained, “My plan was to direct it, that's why I created JIN KI SHAADI UNKI SHAADI. And helped a writer write it from scratch, as a goodwill gesture, otherwise I am a writer myself, since the start of my career."

He further stated that his name was even mentioned on the copies of the script that were distributed to the actors, yet during the telecast, his name was omitted as the writer, and he was given no credit. Despite this, he expressed happiness that his idea and vision were appreciated by the audience.

In conclusion, the Durj actor emphasised that his post was not meant to create conflict or issue a challenge, but only to spread awareness.

However, he also mentioned that if it came to that, he had all the evidence to back his claim. Still, he expressed satisfaction that the project brought freshness and change to the drama industry, adding color to the otherwise monotonous atmosphere of current television serials.

So far, seven episodes of the drama have been aired, and it has gained significant popularity among viewers for its unique storyline.
