Aryan Khan’s first project as a director, The Ba**ds Of Bollywood, has been receiving huge praise from audiences and the film industry.

The mix of satire, inside jokes, Raghav Juyal’s comedy, Manoj Pahwa’s surprising avatar and star cameos made it stand out.

A major highlight is actor Rajat Bedi’s comeback after many years. He played the character of Jaraj Saxena, a once-famous actor who has been out of work for 15 years but still tries to return to the world of films.

In an interview, the 55-year-old actor admitted that the role is close to his real life as he too had been waiting for a chance to re-enter Bollywood.

Overwhelmed by the response, the Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa star said his phone hasn’t stopped ringing since the series launched and that his whole family feels blessed by the love they have received.

He described the show as a turning point, saying it feels like difficult times are over and success has finally arrived.

The Jodi No. 1 actor revealed that season one was just a teaser and confirmed that a second season is already in the works, promising more of Jaraj’s story.

He also shared how the role came to him. While he was in Canada, Aryan Khan personally reached out. Though the 28-year-old director was nervous but clear that he wanted only Rajat for the role. Unlike other characters, Rajat was the only actor Aryan directly met and chose.

Feeling honoured, the Indian actor said that even if it was a small part, he would have accepted because it was Aryan’s debut and a project that will be remembered.

Created and directed by Aryan Khan under Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment banner, The Ba**ds Of Bollywood features Sahher Bambba, Lakshya in lead roles.
