Day 3 box office receipts for They Call Him OG: Despite receiving mixed reviews, Pawan Kalyan's action thriller They Call Him OG was a box office success in its first few days of release.
The movie's domestic box office receipts slightly declined on Day 3. Sacnilk, a trade tracker, reports that OG made Rs 18.5 crore on Saturday. The total amount of money made domestically by the film is Rs 122 crore.
They refer to him as "OG." started off strong on Wednesday with Rs 21 crore from preview shows, and on Day 1 it brought in an enormous Rs 63.75 crore. On Day 2, though, the movie's momentum slowed, earning Rs 18.75 crore.
With 2,583 shows, OG's Telugu version saw an overall occupancy rate of 42.08 percent on Saturday. With 43 performances, Kakinada had the highest occupancy rate at 59.67 percent.
Warangal reported 50.33 percent with 41 shows, while Hyderabad came in second with 51.67 percent across 950 shows. The overall occupancy rate for the Tamil version of the movie was 15.57 percent, compared to just 8.07 percent for the Hindi version.
They Call Him OG, which surpassed Bheemla Nayak's lifetime earnings in just two days, has become Pawan Kalyan's highest grossing film despite the decline in collections.
Comparisons between Pawan Kalyan's film and Ajith's Tamil film Good Bad Ugly emerged after the release of They Call Him. In response to these, Sujeeth, the film's director, recently stated, “I released the teaser of OG before he even put pen to paper for Good Bad Ugly. I know him very well. Adhik genuinely loves me; he sent me a long message when I made Saaho. He texted me that he’s genuinely the biggest fan of my work. I have known him since his first film, Trisha Illana Nayanthara. I had even given him feedback for the film. So, I know he didn’t even start writing the story then.”
He added, “But what happens is when I shoot with a katarana and they do it too…they even released a song called OG Sambavam. When their material first came out, and mine comes later, it causes damage to me. But I’m happy for Adhik that he got this film after Mark Anthony. And I like Ajith too.”
