Yasir Hussain reminds Haris Rauf of his lesson again after Asia Cup final
Haris Rauf is facing severe criticism for his poor bowling performance, which led to Pakistan’s defeat
Haris Rauf is facing heavy criticism for his poor performance at the Asia Cup’s final, and actor Yasir Hussain also didn’t miss the chance to remind him of an earlier lesson.
On Sunday, Pakistan’s team entered the ground with full determination to win, and every player tried their best.
However, the 31-year-old bowler’s performance ended up overshadowing everyone’s efforts.

The right-arm fast bowler finished with figures of none for 50 in just 3.4 overs, leaking runs at an economy rate of 13.63. His expensive spell proved costly as Pakistan failed to defend a 147-run target, with India securing victory by five wickets with two balls to spare.
This poor display drew criticism not only from fans but also from showbiz celebrities, including Yasir Hussain, who called him out once again.
Sharing a note on his Instagram story, Yasir Hussain reminded Haris of his past lesson, saying, “Mene pehle hi kaha tha cricket pe dehan do, Isharyay bazi se cricket match nahi jeetay jaaty (I had already said, focus on cricket, you can’t win matches with gestures).”
Notably, in an earlier Pakistan-India match, Haris had made a hand gesture towards Indian spectators, referencing the recent military clash between the neighbouring countries when the Pakistan Air Force shot down six Indian jets.
Taking notice of his act, the International Cricket Council (ICC) had fined him 30 per cent of his match fee for that act.
At that time, Yasir Hussain had scolded Haris, saying that the credit for downing jets belongs to the Pakistan Air Force and not him. “Your job is to perform on the ground, which you are failing to do,” he had remarked.
