Just a few days after Sonam Kapoor announced her comeback to films after a long maternity break, another big news sent her fans into a frenzy.

According to Pink Villa, the 40-year-old diva and her husband, Anand Ahuja, are expecting their second child.

Quoting a source, the news portal shared, “The Mausam actress is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, and the news has brought immense joy to both families.”

The source also hinted that the couple will soon formally announce the news of their upcoming addition to the family.

While the official confirmation is expected soon, the duo, along with friends and family, is thrilled and overjoyed.

The Sanju star and businessman Anand Ahuja tied the knot in May 2018 in Mumbai. And three years later, they welcomed their first son, Vayu, in August 2022.

After embracing motherhood, the Neerja actor often shares glimpses of her life with her son, balancing her career, family time, and motherhood duties with grace.

This came amid the announcement of her return to the big screen. 

During a recent interview, Sonam said, “I became a mother and wanted to give it as much time as possible so that I could witness the process of seeing my son grow up. And now, I will be back to doing what I love doing, acting.”

Reportedly, the  Saawariya actor is marking her return with Battle for Bittora, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s popular novel.
