Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi is returning to one of his most loved films with Awarapan 2. The sequel has officially started shooting in Bangkok, with actress Disha Patani playing a key role alongside him.

According to Indian media sources, the team has locked a 40 day schedule in Bangkok, where both the action scenes and songs will be shot.

Director Nitin Kakkar and the directors have ensured tight security, as many sequences are being filmed in busy local markets and real locations. The makers are aiming to keep the look and feel authentic without any leaks from the sets.

The story of Awarapan 2 will continue from the emotional ending of the first film. Emraan Hashmi’s character, Shivam, who was shown reuniting with his love in a dream, comes back to life and begins a new charge. 

This time, Disha Patani’s character stands by him, not just as support but also in several action moments.

Fans will see a different side of Emraan Hashmi in this sequel. The actor has worked on a leaner look and will sport a French beard, giving his character more maturity and depth. 

The Bangkok schedule will wrap by early November, after which the cast will shift to Mumbai for emotional and dramatic scenes on specially built sets.

Post-production for the film is anticipated to begin in early 2026, and the makers have already locked a release date of April 3, 2026.

Interestingly, Awarapan 2 has moved faster than most sequels, than, it was only announced six months ago, and the cameras are already rolling.

With Emraan Hashmi returning to his intense screen presence and Disha Patani adding star power with action and glamour, fans are already calling Awarapan 2 one of the most awaited films of 2026.
