Ayesha Omar reveals why she had to change her outlook in showbiz
The 'Bulbulay' star opens up on her journey and the need for a strong front
Actor and producer Ayesha Omar has opened up about her early struggles in the entertainment industry, revealing how she had to adopt a “no-nonsense” attitude to be taken seriously.
Speaking on the newly launched social media comedy show Never Mind, hosted by the duo Barkat and Uzmi, Ayesha said that starting her career at a young age was a challenging phase.
“People didn’t take me seriously because not only was I too young, but I also appeared to be a very carefree girl. Many tried to cross boundaries, especially men. That’s when I realized I had to project strength, otherwise people would think I was weak. I adopted a no-nonsense attitude so that people would take me seriously,” she shared.
The Bulbulay star further revealed that moving from Lahore to Karachi and living alone made this tough exterior even more necessary. “A single girl is often seen as vulnerable, so I had to toughen up even more.”
