Nina Dobrev is keeping fans guessing after playfully dodging questions about a rumoured romance with Zac Efron, just weeks after ending her engagement to Shaun White.

On Wednesday, October 1, the 36-year-old star was spotted at the Los Angeles International Airport, where a TMZ reporter caught up to her and suggested that "living things out in public" must be difficult for her, seemingly alluding to her separation from Shaun White.

"You know what? I'm excited for the future, and the only thing that's guaranteed is change," she confidently stated.

The reporter then went on to boldly ask The Vampire Diaries alum if she was currently dating the 17 Again actor, referring to their recent sighting at a vacation together with actor Miles Teller and his wife, model Keleigh Sperry.

In response, Nina just smiled at the reporter and shook her head in an attempt to shut down the ongoing romance rumours that sparked after Instagram photos of their getaway on September 18 started making rounds on the internet.

The TMZ reporter then persisted to inquire further on the status of their relationship, asking, "You're just mates?"

Nina, coyly quipped with, “Yeah."
