Prithviraj Yodhas team up with Randeep Hooda, Lin Laishram
Lin Laishram makes comeback as Prithviraj Yodhas owner
Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda and his wife, actor and former national-level archer Lin Laishram, have ventured into sports ownership.
The couple has proudly become co-owners of Delhi’s Prithviraj Yodhas in the newly launched Archery Premier League (APL), alongside Dr. Vikas Garg.
The APL 2025 began in October and will run until October 12 at the Yamuna Sports Complex, Delhi.
The 10-day league aims to make archery more exciting, competitive, and accessible to fans across India.
For Lin Laishram, this marks a special return to her sporting roots. Inspired by her father, a former President of the Archery Association of Manipur, Lin began practicing archery at the age of 10.
She trained at the Tata Archery Academy, won several medals, and became Junior National Champion in 1998.
An injury forced her to step away from competitive archery, but her love for the sport never faded.
“Archery has taught me discipline, patience, and determination,” she said. “Even though I had to step down prematurely, my passion never waned. Returning as a team owner is a dream come true, and I hope to inspire young girls to take up archery.”
The Highway actor expressed his excitement, saying, “Sharing this journey with Lin is very special. Archery has always been a big part of her life, and having her back in this way is wonderful. Our goal is to nurture players and bring archery closer to audiences across India.”
The league features six franchises competing in a double round-robin format, followed by semifinals and a final.
Each team consists of eight archers, four men and four women, combining skill, strategy, and entertainment to make the APL a true sporting spectacle.
Organized by the Archery Association of India (AAI) with support from World Archery, World Archery Asia, and India’s Sports Ministry, the APL promises to give India’s traditional sport a modern platform and international recognition.
